When you go on holiday, you should continue practicing your healthy habits. You go on summer vacation to relax and get rid of the everyday stress, but why not improve your health while you are there? Salty air makes us healthier, and the sea will make you feel more relaxed after working out, as it has a calming effect. Therefore, you should dedicate that time to yourself, and you’ll realize the benefits after just seven days.

1. Protect yourself from the sun

It is trendy to be tanned and achieve the perfect skin color, which makes you more attractive. However, excessive sun exposure has consequences, which can even lead to skin cancer. Because of that, you need to protect yourself as much as you can. The best solution is to seek the shade, but as you are on the beach, you’ll want to feel the sun rays on your skin. You can use sunscreen to protect your skin from UV rays and avoid getting sunburnt, even if you spend a bit more time in the open. Also, you can wear a hat to protect your face, where the skin is very sensitive and can easily get damaged.

2. Exercise at the beach

Some places at the seaside have gyms, whereas some isolated towns don’t have much at all. Even if there is one, it is better to work out outside on the beach than indoors. Get up earlier and go jogging along the beach. Your health will benefit from the minerals in the seaside air, and jogging on the beach will challenge your muscles, as it is harder to run on the sand than on a firm surface. If you are a yoga fan, then the sea will create a perfect atmosphere for your exercise. If your room has a frontal view, place the mat so that you are facing the sea, which will help calm you and make your yoga exercises more efficient. It is nice and relaxing to just lie on the beach and enjoy the moment. Try swimming as much as you can, and get up a bit earlier to do a few exercises and prepare yourself for the day.

3. Eat healthy

During working days, you probably end up missing breakfast or some other meal, because you have a lot of obligations and tasks to tend to. Moreover, you likely don’t have enough time to prepare a healthy meal, which is why most people turn to fast food. On vacation, you have enough time to eat healthy meals rich in vitamins. As you probably don’t want to cook every day when on vacation, visit some restaurants and try some healthy meals prepared by professional chefs.

4. Disconnect and turn off your smartphone

Because of social media, we are constantly checking our smartphones and wasting our time on chatting, posting, and tweeting. Take a break. Not just from stressful work, but from your smartphone as well. If you are constantly looking at your phone, you’ll miss out on all the beautiful views of the sea. You can sit in silence and just look at the waves — you won’t feel the time passing, and you will feel refreshed. It’s not like you are going to miss anything too important, so stop scrolling the feed and enjoy some quality time with your friends.

Enjoy the climate, swim or go sailing and diving in order to recharge your batteries. Turn off your smartphone, protect your skin from the sun and forget about the rest of the world.
